Stock Sales

Curlew Valley Suffolks sells approximately 70 rams and around 30 ewe hoggets each year.  We, in conjunction with Belmont Studs have the annual Mt Pleasant Suffolk Sale  on the 3rd Wednesday of September at the Mt Pleasant Showgrounds.  While the main line of rams are sold here, we have a number or rams available for private selection afterwards.  30 young ewes are offered in this sale, with some older ewes being sold either in the sale for privately.

Please contact me for any stock requirements.

Mt Pleasant Suffolk Sale

In 2012, Belmont and CVS jointly took over the sale from the retiring Stratford and Brechridge Studs. Mt Pleasant is a central location in SA, 1 hour North East of Adelaide and close to Belmont Stud’s address.  The location is well connected from across the state and from Victoria.  While the majority of the rams are bought in SA, we sell a number of rams and ewes interstate.  The Mt Pleasant Suffolk Sale is a physical auction but also run live on Auctions Plus.  While it is preferred that bought sheep are collected from the sale, we offer assistance with delivery both locally and interstate.  If you wish to purchase but can not pick up sheep on the day, please contact us before the sale, and we will do everything we can to help you.

It is held on the 3rd Wednesday of September each year.  We offer 90 Suffolk Stud and Commercial Rams, 60 Suffolk Ewes and 30 Border Leicester Rams.  Inspections commence at 10:30 am the sale kicking off at 12:30 EST.

Zoetis has been sponsoring our sale for the past 8 years, with the Buyer of the top price Suffolk Ram  going home with a 5L drum of Startect drench, valued at over $400!

Catalogue available online closer to the sale or please contact us.
