Good evening distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen. I am delighted the Agricultural Bureau of South Australia has invited me to present on how both the Peter Olsen’s Fellowship and the Rural Youth Bursary has made an impact on my life.
I do not believe it was by chance my parent’s called me ‘Rachel’. I am one of 5 children and the only one that does not carry a family name…the name Rachel is Hebrew, and means ‘ewe lamb’.

Suffolk rams prove popular at ‘Pleasant sale
RESULTS at Curlew Valley and Belmont Suffolk studs’ annual joint sale at the Mount Pleasant showground on Wednesday last week indicated a growing interest in the Suffolk breed, with a greater number of rams sold and a higher overall average price.
Of the 84 Suffolk rams offered, 74 were sold to $4800, averaging $1466. This was a $351 increase on the 2018 sale average, with 11 more rams sold.
